The Longhouse: “Diversity is a White Word”

20 Apr 2017 6:00 pm — 8:00 pm

Is ‘Diversity’ is a white word? Tania Canas’ article for ArtsHub ignited social media earlier this year. What are the implications of this idea? How does it play out in our arts community? Diversity Arts Australia’s Executive Director Lena Nahlous will join Tim Roseman (Playwriting Australia), Kate Cherry (CEO, NIDA), and facilitator Jenevieve Chang to unpack this idea on 20 April at the Longhouse, presented by Carriageworks and Contemporary Asian Australian Performance.

We’d love to hear your thoughts, experiences and questions.

The discussion will be followed by the launch of the 2017 Longhouse Program.

Refreshments will be served afterwards – so the conversation can continue.

Tickets: $10 (plus booking fees).
Seating is limited, so book early to avoid disappointment!

Presented by CAAP and Carriageworks, The Longhouse is supported by the NSW Government through Arts NSW
