Acute Actions: Responses To I Am Not A Virus (Part Two) artist Jin Hien Lau will join independent comics author Meg O’Shea and professional comic book and storyboard artist W. Chew Chan for an online panel on visual storytelling. Titled Off The Page: Design, illustration and authorship in contemporary comics, the discussed will be hosted by our exhibition partner 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art.
Jumping off from Jin Hien Lau’s piece Train of Thought (2021), currently showing in Acute Actions: Responses To I Am Not A Virus (Part Two), panelists will discuss the unique function of the comics medium to break borders and push boundaries.
The talk will be moderated by 4A Curatorial Program Manager Con Gerakaris.
