Screen Australia’s Gender Matters Taskforce was founded in 2016, with the aim of achieving gender parity in the screen industry. But in 2024, there’s still progress to be made. What more can be done?

On June 7,  you are invited to a talk on ‘Gender Matters: Looking Back and Looking Forward’ at Sydney Film Festival. Dive into gender parity in the screen industry with Gender Taskforce members:

  • Lena Nahlous, CEO, Diversity Arts Australia
  • Grainne Brunsdon, Chief Operating Officer at Screen Australia
  • Diana Burnett, General Manager for the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia
  • Erika Addis, National President of the Australian Cinematographers Society and is the first female president in the Society’s history.
  • Rosie Lourde, a writer, director, producer and actor with a passion for advocacy, and Gender Matters Task Force Chair.

Stay around for a networking event afterwards and ask your burning questions direct to our panellists over a drink!

Venue: The Hub, Lower Town Hall

Supported by Screen Australia. Hosted by Women in Film & Television Australia (WIFT Australia), Screen Vixens and Gender Matters Taskforce.
