At Utp’s Another World Festival, DARTS Board member Dr Bilquis Ghani delivered a powerful talk on our Anti-Racism and the Arts campaign and co-chaired the Human Rights in the Arts Symposium. Utp created an important space for artists and organisations to reflect on human rights and the futures we want to build.
The Human Rights in the Arts Symposium brought together artists and arts workers from the experimental and community sectors to centre human rights in arts practice and policy.
Grounded in collaborative thinking, critical reflection, and practical strategy, the day centred intersectionality across First Nations, disability, race, class, gender, and culturally diverse communities.
Diversity Arts Australia was proud to be among key advocacy organisations that shared current strategies and initiatives designed to collectively develop new, sector-wide recommendations.
