Christine Pan

Christine Pan is a composer and conductor actively involved in numerous inter-disciplinary projects. With the support of the Elizabethan Ladies’ Trust Scholarship and the Horace Keats Memorial Prize for Composition, Christine is currently completing Honours in Composition at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

In 2018, Christine worked as a sound designer and composer for NO MOSS Studios games and regularly attends conventions such as Melbourne PAX to promote her gaming music. To continue her love for performing, her quintet, Somnus Quintet regularly showcases film and gaming music at conventions such as Smash! and Madfest. She was involved in Vivid Sydney 2019 as a featured musician and her orchestral works have been performed by numerous ensembles including the Kuringai Youth Orchestra and SCM Orchestra.

In 2020, Christine completed an internship at Sound-How and is now composing for several film and media projects. She will be a composer in residence for Liverpool and Camden Palliative Care patients as part of the 2020 Creative Legacy Program. Her new string quartet work commissioned by Musica Viva will premiered in November and she is thrilled to be participating in the 2021 Composing in the Wilderness Program in Alaska, U.S.A.

With a deep passion for travel and educating others about the joy of music, she has been a guest speaker at schools to encourage youths to consider a career in the arts. She is a strong advocate of mental health and wellbeing for creatives looking to find a balance between work and life.
