Boey Kim Cheng has published five collections of poetry, a travel memoir entitled Between Stations, and Gull Between Heaven and Earth, a historical novel based on the life of the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu. He migrated to Australia in 1997 and taught Creative Writing at the University of Newcastle before returning to Singapore to teach at Nanyang Technological University.
