As many other independent contractors working in the creative sectors, Culturally and Racially Marginalised (CaRM) artists and arts workers in Australia face a set of challenges when negotiating work arrangements with organisations or other contractors. These problems, however, are compounded by systemic inequities, power imbalances, and the precarious nature of work in the creative sectors.
