Expression of Interest
Are you a podcaster, storyteller, content creator or aspiring audio producer living or working in the Parramatta LGA?
Diversity Arts Australia is seeking 6 Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Creative Podcasters to create a podcast series profiling local artists, creatives and creative spaces across Parramatta’s cultural life.
If you have not produced a podcast before, mentorship and training will be provided. An intermediate level of writing and storytelling skills is required.
WHO CAN APPLY
Applicants must live, work, or have a demonstrated connection to Parramatta, Granville, Harris Park, Merrylands, Northmead, North Parramatta, North Rocks, Rosehill, Wentworthville and Westmead. While the focus is on people living and working in these communities, there may be some places available for people beyond these areas.
Selected participants will receive:
- Skills development workshops in interviewing, storytelling and audio production
- One-on-one mentorship and editorial support
- Professional production and post-production support
- Publication through Diversity Arts Australia’s platforms, including the Colour Cycle podcast and partner networks
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Profile local artists, creatives, collectives and creative spaces across Parramatta
- Conduct interviews and develop original audio stories
- Produce a podcast story as part of a professionally produced podcast series documenting Parramatta’s contemporary creative life
- Applications close: 20 August 2026
- Successful applicants announced: 30 August 2026
- September 2026: Skills development workshops, mentorship pairing and editorial mentoring
- October-December 2026: Recording, editing and production
- January-March 2027: Podcast release and public launch
Parramatta Creative Lives Podcast Series is a StoryCasters extension project and has received funding from City of Parramatta. This project has been supported through a City of Parramatta 2026 Creative Projects Grant. Diversity Arts proudly receives core funding from Creative Australia and Create NSW.
