Diversity Arts at APAX Conference 2022

APAX speakers on stage including Lena

Diversity Arts Australia was honoured to be invited to participate in key panel discussions and presentations at APAX, an initiative of PAC Australia – APAX , the national peak body representing presenters, venues and creators.

CEO, Lena Nahlous participated in the panel discussion “How We Work”, highlighting changing practices and approaches in the workplace. She spoke on the impact of Diversity Arts’ recent initiatives such as the Shifting the Balance Report, After Australia, and research advocacy campaigns, which emerged as the effects of the pandemic, Black Lives Matter and anti-Asian COVID racism was felt across the creative sector.

Research and Policy Manager, Dr Alexia Derbas and Creative Equity Toolkit Coordinator, Colin Ho presented The Imagine Project Australia showcasing some of Australia’s work advancing cultural diversity and racial equity in the arts. The Imagine Project features leading case studies of best practice across the creative sector.

Keep an eye out on the Imagine Project as more case studies are released this year.
